  • Kilosa District, Tanzania - 15.03.17  - Young boys herd Huruma Ole Kalaita's cattle in Kilosa District on March 15, 2017. "Cattle are our resource. We lost lots of them and the ones that remain are very thin and sick," says Ole Kalaita, who saw 23 of his cattle die in recent months. "If the rain stops now, it is death. People will die." Parts of Tanzania, including Kilosa District, had been heavily impacted by drought since 2016. While recent rains have provided some relief, herds are depleted and sickly.
