12-01-29 -- ANEHO, TOGO -- A young woman carries empty jerry cans into a warehouse at the Togo-Benin border filled with hundreds of 240-250 litre barrels of petrol. Smugglers say each barrel is worth $150,000 CFA ($300 USD). Fuel purchased in Nigeria, arrives at this distribution point by boat and is spread throughout Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Mali.
