12-03-22 -- KAMPALA, UGANDA -- James Omejja, from Dokolo in northern Uganda, drinks kwete, a millet based local brew, at a bar in the Acholi Quarter on March 22. Omejja says he, like many others, drinks to forget the past. "In 2003, our school was invaded so we had to take off, but 12 students were killed by that time. You have to rescue your life." In the Acholi Quarter, life is also difficult he says. " It is tremendously difficult. We can't get good jobs to support ourselves.
